Σαν το καλό κρασί, έτσι και οι Balenciaga τσάντες καταφέρνουν και μεγαλώνουν την αξία τους με τον καιρό. Ή τουλάχιστον έτσι πιστεύω εγώ. Βλέπεις, όταν ήμουν πιο μικρή, αντί να κρεμάω στους τοίχους του δωματίου μου αφίσες με hot celebrities σαν γνήσια teen, προτιμούσα να φτιάχνω τετράδια με αποκόμματα από τα περιοδικά που διάβαζε η μαμά μου και αν τα ξεφύλλιζες θα έπεφτες σίγουρα πάνω σε κάποιο μοντέλο του οίκου. Με λίγα λόγια αυτές οι τσάντες ήταν ο "στόχος" μου - για να μη χρησιμοποιήσω τη λέξη όνειρο και με περάσεις για αλλοπαρμένη - και ίσως γι' αυτό τις θεωρώ ακόμα κλασικές έπειτα από τόσα χρόνια κυκλοφορίας.

Well, when I was a teen, instead of hanging posters of famous celebrities on the walls I used to collect pages from fashion magazines and create small style scrapbooks. Inside their pages you could find several models of these bags. So the meat and potatoes of all the above is these babes had been a goal-purchase for a long time and maybe this is the reason why I still think of them as classics.
